Business Analysis


The Business Analysis profession is pivotal to the development and growth of an organization, they bring about change in an organizational context by identifying needs and proffering solutions that will bring value.

Our Business analysis course at Sterling Careers is structured towards teaching and preparing delegates to be Business Analysts. In this course delegates are taught skills to identify the needs of organizations, how to handle organizational changes, managing the requirements of stakeholders and business communication skills. Delegates are also taught about agile scrum and how to be an effective agile Business Analyst.

The classroom course is for 4 weeks after which delegates are attached to real and live projects where they receive experience as Business Analysts. The course will use the BCS Business Analysis curriculum which will include the following:

  • Requirement gathering techniques
  • Requirement elicitation
  • Types of business requirements

Tools of the business analyst, such as MOSCOW, PESTLE, GAP analysis, Mind maps and interviewing techniques. Also delegates will be taught and supported to use industry tools which will prepare them for employment. The tools will include:

  • Atlassian Jira
  • Confluence
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Goto meeting
  • Balsamiq
  • Microsoft Excel
